During 2024, Safe Harbour provided services to over 1800 victims. There are many ways you can donate and help Safe Harbour as well as the individuals seeking shelter, counseling, support and other assistance.

GIFT CARDS

Victims fleeing domestic abuse many times leave their homes very quickly without packing. All they take with them are their children and the clothes on their back. A great way to assist would be to donate local superstore and laundromat gift cards to help those families in crisis get the things they need. For those who are seeking employment, gift cards can help them get professional work attire or put gas in their car to get to their job interview. For those ready to leave the shelter, gift cards can help them set up a new home and build a new, independent life. Laundromat cards can help clients get their laundry done. If you have gift cards you can send them to our PO Box address or call us at 419-626-2200 to arrange delivery.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE SHELTER

Due to limited staff, storage and sorting space we cannot accept any used items.

Whatever you use at home is what we use at our shelter. When our clients arrive we provide everything they need during their stay and when they leave we give them a basketful of household items for their new home. Our clients stay connected with us for some time as they continue the healing process. We continuously provide them with the things they need if we have them. Donations from the community help us support victims while they heal and become independent. If you have items you would like to donate, please call us at 419-626-2200 to arrange delivery.
